In
1987 the UNESCO added the
Gros Morne National Park to the World
Heritage list. Here you can visit the settlements
of
the
Vikings, the first immigrants of Newfoundland.
The East Coast Trail
extends over 200 km along the west coast shore
offering vistas that are every hiker’s dream.
Along the way you will encounter a geyser, a bird
sanctuary and dramatic rock outcroppings. The area
is well-known for its wildlife. The pinnacle of
your hiking experience may be the watching of a
whale, bear, moose, eagle, gannet or puffin.
