HUMBER RIVER ESTATES - NEWFOUNDLAND, CANADA

Newfoundland is Canada’s easternmost province and lies between the 46th and 51st degree of latitude. Situated in the Atlantic Ocean in the north eastern corner of North America, the province consists of two geographically distinct sections: Newfoundland and Labrador.


The island of Newfoundland, the southern and eastern section of the province, is shaped like a large triangle covering 112,000 km2.

Most of Newfoundland lies below the 50th parallel, on the same line of latitude as Paris, indicating a temperate climate.

By Canadian standards, Newfoundland winters are mild, with an average temperature of -5 °C, while average summer temperatures range between 22 and 28°C.
