Newfoundland is North America’s closest point to the European continent - just a distance of 3,700 km. Currently, direct flights are available from London to St. John’s. Newfoundland can also be reached by ferry from the Canadian mainland. Barwell Leisure offers direct charter flights to Deer Lake from London Gatwick in summer- and wintertime weekly. In 2001, 142,000 visitors arrived on the island by ferry and 266,000 by air.

Air Canada, Air Transat, Air Labrador and Provincial Airlines all provide flights to Newfoundland.

Halifax to Deer Lake: 1 hour 10 minutes

Several connecting flights are available daily from Halifax to Deer Lake. The local airport in Deer Lake is also close by and offers convenient connections and services.
